ELYSIUM: Lunar Gala 2025

With more than a thousand attendees per year, Lunar Gala is the largest student-led fashion event in Pittsburgh. For the 2025 year of the snake, the theme ELYSIUM represents the final resting place for the heroic and virtuous in Greek mythology. I had the honor of leading a talented print team in creating a visual identity and accompanying assets, working closely with other teams in the creative department to make our vision come to life.

booklet

Using a circle motif, we interpret Elysium as not one single place, but the ongoing human journey. The show is broken up into four acts: Emergence, Blossom, Hubris, and Embrace. Each act is introduced with a splash page, and then followed by individual pages for the lines within them.

The booklet is not only meant to serve as a program for the audience to reference, but also to tell the stories behind each designer's lines. Using the work of the photography team and the motion team, we created a 50 page experience.

posters

Our team designed fifteen unique posters to promote the show: one for each line, and one for the entire theme. Pinned together, they create one quilt-like backdrop.

Drawing inspiration from the booklet's splash pages, I color-graded a photo from each line to match the colors for its respective act.

merch

We also worked together with the photography team to bring appreciation to their work through postcards that we sold at the show.

This was the largest project that I've worked on up to this point, much less took a leadership position in. Lunar Gala was something that I knew I wanted to be a part of even before I stepped onto campus, and I have learned so much over these eight months.

A big thank you to the incredible team that helped made this happen: our hard-working producers, talented creative directors, designers, models, and everyone in between. And especially to Michele, Bill, Joy, Wendy, Gabby, and Sydney.
