Melissa Qin [秦雅若] is a student at Carnegie Mellon University, studying Communications Design with minors in Product Management and Human-Computer Interaction.
She’s fascinated by design as a means to understand the world and tell its stories. Passionate about connecting aesthetics to strategy, as well as creating empathetic and exciting systems that can unravel into conversations, she gives a voice to things we leave unsaid.
More specifically, Melissa has an affinity for experimental color usage, thoughtful typography, dynamic motion, and general pixel-perfection. She’s also a lover of fashion, arm day at the gym, malatang, printed ephemera, cafe-hopping, reading books on the beach, laying in patches of sunlight, and making slightly pretentious playlists. Ask about the clothes she steals from her mom or her fat, evil cat.
