Hi! My name is Melissa.

I'm a student at Carnegie Mellon University, studying Communications Design and minoring in Product Management and Human-Computer Interaction.

In a way, I use design to understand the world and tell people's stories, connecting aesthetics to strategy. I'm passionate about creating empathetic and exciting systems that can unravel into conversations, giving a sort of voice to the things we leave unsaid. More specifically, I have an affinity for experimental color palettes, thoughtful typography, intricate illustrations, and dynamic motion.

I'm also a lover of fashion, arm day at the gym, language, printed ephemera, cafe-hopping, sad books (currently reading The Vegetarian), staring into lakes pensively, and making stupid playlists. Ask me about my growing jewelry collection or my fat, evil cat.
